Dave Allen

My interests in ECM started over thirty years ago through friendship with David and Grace Clark. At the time David was the British Director so my interest in the work of ECM and mission across Europe started to develop. Over the years we have been privileged to share our home with a number of ECM missionaries as well as belonging to a prayer group and attending conferences.

In 2002 I was invited to join the ECM Britain Trustees and was appointed chairman in 2007. At the 2012 Biennial conference I was asked to join the International Board.

I became a Christian in my late teens and my interest in mission grew from being encouraged to support missionaries. I met Liz while she was undertaking her midwifery training in Birmingham and we married in 1975. We settled in Sutton Coldfield and have been members of Sutton Coldfield Baptist Church since 1982 and have undertaken various roles in the life of the church but our heart has always been for mission.

For the past 25 years I have worked for Jaguar Land Rover in various roles and am now in Advance Manufacturing Engineering as a BIW project manager. We have one grown up son who works in business development. Liz retired 2 years ago from the National Health Service and has recently joined ECM as a volunteer. I enjoy fell walking in the Lake District, woodwork, and attending old car and lorry shows.
