Sofia, Bulgaria
Bulgaria is a country of significant natural beauty but look beneath the surface, and you will see the scars of 500 years of Ottoman rule, followed by communism and then consumerism. Discipleship is rarely understood, let alone practiced.
In Sofia, we work in the International Baptist Church - a church which is far more international than it is Baptist! We average about 70 people in church on Sunday from around 20 different countries. We host Sunday School for children, together with youth and adult Bible Studies. It is our desire to see our church not only as a spiritual home for expatriates while they are in Sofia, but a church that receives believers, disciples them, and then sends them onto their next destination, better prepared to be salt and light in that place.
We offer internship ministry in an English speaking church, primarily amongst expatriates. Ministry involvement will be determined based on your passions, gifting and experience. Camps may also be an option depending on the time of year.
