Bringing Hope to Czech Prisons with 'Discipleship Explored'
The Czech Republic, while rich in history, is one of the most secular countries in the world. With less than 0.5% of the population identifying as evangelical Christians, there’s an urgent need for gospel outreach.
Since 2014, the transformative Prisoner’s Journey program has been running in 19 prisons across the country, bringing the hope of Christ to inmates. Now, we aim to take the next step by introducing the Discipleship Explored Prison Edition, designed for new believers in prison to grow in their faith.
This program, based on Paul’s letter to the Philippians, is tailored to meet the unique challenges of incarcerated individuals—addressing their spiritual needs and fostering a deeper relationship with Christ. Through the Gospel, prisoners are discovering the power of forgiveness, freedom from their past, and a restored identity in Jesus Christ, the One who came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1).
Why This Matters
Prisoners often feel forgotten and hopeless, but through this program, lives are being transformed. Inmates report newfound peace, purpose, and the ability to reconcile with family and society. As one participant shared, “I feel freer inside these walls than I ever did outside, now that Christ is in my life.”
This initiative goes beyond teaching—it meets inmates at their deepest point of need, offering the Gospel as a message of true healing and restoration.
Your Role in This Mission
We need your support to make this vision a reality:
- Translate the course materials and videos into Czech.
- Print and distribute materials to prisons nationwide.
- Equip chaplains and volunteers to guide inmates through this journey.
With a project budget of €3,000, your donation can help bring lasting hope and transformation to those behind bars. Join us in spreading the message of Christ’s love and healing to the most overlooked corners of society.
